NEIL WAGNER

Having performed outstandingly in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons for the Northerns Provincial team in South Africa, Neil was unable to secure a contract at the formidably Titans franchise. The year 2008 proved to be a good news year for Neil as he was selected for the SA Academy team tour to Bangladesh before taking up a club contract in England. While in England, Neil hit trials with Sussex and Hampshire which culminated in a one year Kolpak offer. With the uncertainty around the Kolpak ruling Neil accepted an offer from Otago and an opportunity to quality to play for New Zealand.

Three good seasons in New Zealand have caught the interest of the New Zealand Cricket selectors with Neil touring with the NZ Emerging Players in 2010. He holds a record for taking five wickets in an over in a first class match for Otago against Wellington in April 2011. Neil qualified to play for New Zealand in April 2012 and made his debut against the West Indies in July 2012.

KHAYA ZONDO

Having made his first class debut at the age of 17, Khaya has progressed through SA Colts and SA U19 and on to the national academy in 2010. The 2010/11 season saw his appointment as captain of the KZN Provincial team. Predominantly a batsman, the 2010/11 saw the emergence of his off spin bowling that made him the number one all rounder for the KZN Provincial team.

Much is expected of this natural leader who has a cool head under pressure and a natural instinct for captaincy. Contracted for a second year with the Dolphins in 2011/12, Khaya is expected to continue to show improvement with bat, ball and captaincy as he is groomed to be a potential future Dolphins captain.
